About the Chamber Orchestra Of Wales...

The Chamber Orchestra of Wales is the Principality’s foremost chamber orchestra and is based in
South West Wales.

Since its inception, the Orchestra has completed numerous television series for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4
and S4C. There have been concerts and televised performances at major venues throughout the country
such as the Royal Albert Hall London, the Brangwyn Hall in Swansea, The Millenium Centre, Saint David's
Hall, the International Arena in Cardiff, the Harrogate International Centre and Venue Cymru in Llandudno.

The orchestra has participated in many “Classic Spectaculars” and outdoor concerts at such venues as
Eastnor Castle, Wimbledon, Wrexham, Cardiff Castle, Bryn Terfel's Faenol Festival, Brecon Jazz Festival
with Kathryn Jenkins, Kenilworth Castle and a particularly memorable one in the presence of President
Carter of the U.S.A. at Swansea's Singleton Park.

Equally at home in the studio, on the concert platform or in the orchestra pit, the versatility of this
small independent organisation is apparent in the variety of work undertaken - recording sessions,
opera, ballet, television, festival appearances, concerts - particularly our famous "candlelight concerts"
and chilldrens'/schools' concerts.

The orchestra is totally independent of public funding and successfully generates its own income
through quality professional engagements.
