The Latest.....
Following the success of the live television broadcast from the National Eisteddfod in Cardiff with Karl Jenkins and Rebecca Evans, the Orchestra now embarks on a busy autumn and winter schedule. We will be linking up with many of our friends such as The Morriston Tabernacle Choir, The Swansea Philharmonic Choir & Cor Llanpumpsaint for concerts as well as embarking on our "Candlelight Series" at Swansea's Brangwyn Hall - 'Candles' will figure largely for us in 2009!
Not only will our own candles flicker during our Valentine and St. David's Day concerts but we will be helping to blow out the candles on the birthday cakes of the Swansea Philharmonic Choir (50 years) and Cor Bro Ogwr (10 years).
Cor Bro Ogwr came about as a result of the National Eisteddfod being held in the Bridgend area 10 years ago and we are delighted to be involved with another choir that is a legacy of the Eisteddfod's visit to an area - and that's "Cantorion y Rhyd" who were formed in Swansea in 2006. We had the honour of accompanying them then and we are delighted to be doing so again in a performance of the Faure requiem in November.
Please take a look at our "Diary Page" for a full and comprehensive list of forthcoming events.
